A
collaborative project between PSL (Leeds) and the Whitechapel Art
Gallery (London) featuring Nick Cass and Lizzie Hughes / Dave Ronalds and Matt & Ross / Noah Sherwood and Janis Rafailidou / Amy Stephens and Rory Macbeth
17 December 2008 - 28 February 2009 Closing party Saturday 28 February, 2-5pm
There are 195 miles between London and Leeds. This project creates a bridge between two cities, two spaces and eight artists. For 195 Miles, PSL and the Whitechapel Gallery have invited four artists from Leeds to engage in a dialogue with four artists from East London culminating in four collaborative works of art conceived and presented for PSL. Beth Chaplin from the Whitechapel Gallery joins the three PSL Directors in curating the project.
Conversations began back in November 2008 and the works have been developing in the space ever since. The public is able to view work throughout the duration of the project during normal opening hours (Wed-Sat, 12-5pm).

We are also running a series of Peer Critiques as part of this project. These are opportunities for artists to discuss their work with other artists in a critical yet supportive environment. Click here for further info.
