15th - 18th September
: Week 10 of The Drawing Shed
Hondartza, based in Sheffield, was born 1982, Cabanas, A Coruña, Spain. She completed an MA degree in Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University in 2007. Hondartza Fraga’s work explores the relation of dependency between images, objects (some found, some remote) and the individual. Fascinated by different image-making processes and the physical and emotional distances between the too small and the too big.
For The Drawing Shed Hondartza will create a composition of human shadows across the surface of the shed. Some of her previous works use light and shadow as main tools, using drawing to generate some tensions and contradictions between the two. The real shadows of the visitors will intertwine with those drawn onto the shed.
